Dr. Eden was born and raised in Duncan, Oklahoma, and loved growing up in this small, warm community.
From an early age, Dr. Eden wanted to help people and was especially influenced by the town’s family physician that owned and operated the community hospital.
Education and Experience
Dr. Eden attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and moved to Fort Worth to complete his military service at Carswell Air Force Base. After an honorable discharge, Dr. Eden joined a pulmonary practice in 1981 and practiced pulmonary medicine for 18 years before obtaining his board certification in sleep disorders.
Since 1999, his practice has been limited to diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. Though most patients are referred for sleep apnea, he also treats narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, and insomnia, the most common sleep disorder in the general population.
Dr. Eden recently expanded his practice to include two staff counselors (one his daughter Kristen Warren) certified in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, CBT-I, which is shown to be more effective than medication.
Dr. Eden holds the following board certifications: Internal Medicine (1976), Pulmonary Disease (1980), Critical Care (1989), and Sleep Medicine (1999 and 2009)
And down-to-earth…
He is friendly and approachable, the opposite of stuffy, and is a die-hard OU football fan (but don’t hold that against him).
